After Berkeley, Alyson Tapp taught for two years in the Russian Department at Reed College as Visiting Assistant Professor. She was then a University Lecturer in Russian Literature at Cambridge University and a Fellow of Clare College. In 2019 she left this post to pursue a career in horticulture, and has worked in historic gardens in the south of England.
Alyson Tapp’s writing on Russian Literature includes articles and book chapters on Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Zhukovsky, the Russian Formalist Boris Eikhenbaum, and translations of essays by Lidiia Ginzburg.
